<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transfer failure and conveyance failure due to absorption of moisture in a transfer material. <P>SOLUTION: Power to be supplied to a cassette heater is controlled according to the set number of copies. When the transfer material whose moisture is absorbed is quickly supplied, power to the heater is increased (temperature increase, area increase, and so on), thus decreasing moisture content contained in the transfer material.
