<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DVD video reproducing apparatus operating buttons of which have enhanced visibility and operability. <P>SOLUTION: The operating example of the picture edit processing of the DVD video reproducing apparatus of this invention includes the steps of: (a) obtaining a button area on a map indicative of the number of buttons and a pixel value according to the description of highlight information HLI; (b) setting a size of a new button area and new arrangement; (c) extracting a button image in the button area on pixel data; (d) magnifying the extracted button image matching the size of the newly set button area; (e) drawing a sub picture image by replacing the pixel in the button area on the pixel data with a background pixel; and (f) arranging the magnified button image on the sub picture image according to the newly set arrangement to obtain a final sub picture image, and generating the magnified button image having its display color and contrast with values providing excellent visibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
