<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing troubles such as defects (scratches) in a developing roller which result from, for example, melting (softening) of toner and firm fixing (filming) of melt toner to the developing roller and capable of prolonging the life. <P>SOLUTION: A toner charging device (charging function device) 3 of a double- cylindrical shape consisting of an external fixed drum 4 and an internal rotary drum 5 is disposed above the developing roller 1 that renders an electrostatic latent image visible by supplying toner to the surface of an image carrier 2. Openings 8 and 9 for discharging a mixture agent (developer) 6, composed of toner and charging agent which charges the toner, from the rotary drum 5 to the developing roller 1 are made in the fixed drum 4 and the rotary drum 5. A toner stir member 7 for stirring and mixing the mixture agent 6 and a mesh 10 for adjusting an amount that the toner is discharged and preventing the discharge of the charging agent are disposed in the rotary drum 5. Further, a shutter 11 is disposed for uncovering/covering the opening 8 of the fixed drum 4 and adjusting the opening degree of the opening 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
