PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device for a vehicle capable of informing a driver safely and with no sense of incongruity that an own vehicle has crossed a travelling lane marking. SOLUTION: This steering control device for the vehicle is provided with a steering torque detection means 18 to detect steering toque applied to a steering wheel 3, travelling lane marking recognition means 1, 25 to recognize the positional relation to a steered wheel 4 of the own vehicle and the travelling lane marking and a steering control means 26 to generate steering auxiliary torque 23 in accordance with the steering torque detected by the steering torque detection means 18 in a steering auxiliary motor 19 and to generate steering wheel reaction torque 24 in a motor 20 for steering wheel reaction in accordance with the recognition result of the travelling lane marking recognition means 1, 25.
