<p>A connection system for interconnecting fluid-conducting components, comprises: first and second fluid-conducting components (2), wherein each of the fluid-conducting components includes a connection face (11) which includes a fluid port (12) and at least one slot arrangement (18,20) comprising first and second substantially parallel slots which extend inwardly from an edge of the connection face, the slots each including an aperture in the connection face, a first tapered surface (26) which faces inwardly in a direction opposite the connection face and tapers from the edge of the connection face, and a second tapered surface(32) which faces outwardly in a direction substantially parallel to the connection face; at least one connector for interconnecting the connection faces of the fluid-conducting components, wherein the at least one connector comprises a coupling element(52) which comprises a support(58) and first and second coupling members(60,62) which extend in substantially parallel relation therefrom wherein the coupling members each comprise first and second tapered cam surfaces, (86,92)which each taper outwardly in a direction away from the support, for engaging the respective coupling surfaces of the slot arrangements of the fluid-conducting components and aligning and orienting the same, and first and second cam surfaces, which each taper outwardly in a direction away from the support member, for engaging the respective second surfaces of the slot arrangements of the fluid-conducting components and aligning and orienting the same.</p> |
