PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time necessary for piercing while retaining a squareness of the upper edge of a cutting surface when a prescribed two-dimensional shape is cut from a steel plate using a gas cutting nozzle. SOLUTION: The nozzle A fastens a spindle 2, which has a cutting oxygen jet hole 4d formed in the center and a slit 8 opened in the tip surface 2b and jetting out mixing gas of the fuel gas with the preheating oxygen in the outer circumference, to a trunk 1 having a function mixing fuel gas with preheating oxygen and fits the spindle 2 to a cover 3 so that the slit 8 formed around the outer circumference of the spindle is formed as a passage of mix gas. The tip surface 2b of the spindle 2 and the tip surface 3b of the cover 3 are so disposed as to be flush with each other and chamfer parts 10 and 11 or a step difference part is formed on either one or the both of the outer circumferential tip surface of the spindle or the internal circumferential tip surface of the cover.
