NOVEL PROTEINS AND DNAS ENCODING THE SAME

It is intended to propose a method of using proteins based on the physiological activities thereof and DNAs encoding the same by analyzing the base sequences of cDNA clones involved in a catalogued full-length cDNA library, and, concerning cDNA clones having novel sequences from among those analyzed above, specifying the physiological activities of proteins encoded thereby. Thus, the following proteins (a) and (b) are provided: (a) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence represented by any of SEQ ID NOS:8 to 14, 25 and 26; and (b) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence derived from an amino sequence represented by any of SEQ ID NOS: 8 to 14, 25 and 26 by deletion, substitution and/or addition of one to several amino acids and having a phosphatase activity.
