PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring agent for dip dyeing, which can improve the leveling properties in dip dyeing and can give a colored object excellent in both leveling properties and sublimation fastness without minutely controlling the temperature rise rate and without using various additives in large quantities. SOLUTION: The coloring agent for dip dyeing comprises e.g. a disperse dye of which 90 mass% or more of the primary particles have a particle diameter of 0.5μm or smaller.
