RIGID VINYL CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid vinyl chloride resin composition which realizes high impact strength without compounding an impact resistance-enhancing agent and gives a rigid vinyl chloride resin molded article exhibiting a high fracture toughness strength. SOLUTION: The vinyl chloride resin composition for a rigid vinyl chloride resin molded article comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polyvinyl chloride resin bearing a reactive group in the molecule and, incorporated therewith, at least 0.1 pt.wt. but not more than 3 pts.wt. of an isocyanate compound. The reactive group in the polyvinyl chloride resin bearing a reactive group in the molecule can be a hydroxyl group and/or a carboxyl group. The composition may comprise a vinyl chloride homopolymer. The composition may comprise 99-1 pt.wt. of the polyvinyl chloride resin bearing a reactive group in the molecule and 1-99 pts.wt. of the vinyl chloride homopolymer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
