PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device for a vehicle for allowing an occupant to smoothly get on/off the vehicle. SOLUTION: The seat device is set on the vehicle with an entrance H to be opened/closed by a front door Df and an entrance H to be opened/closed by a rear door Dr formed on a side wall of the vehicle. The seat device comprises a rotating mechanism for rotating a seat body S between the forward position where the seat body S faces the front of the vehicle and the sideways position where the seat body S faces the entrance side, a sliding mechanism for sliding the seat body S and the rotating mechanism in the front/rear directions of the vehicle, a control means for operating the rotating mechanism and the sliding mechanism, and an operating means for commanding the control means to operate the rotating mechanism and the sliding mechanism. The rotatable range of the seat body S is set within the slidable range in the front/rear directions for the door half-open state when one of the front door Df or the rear door Dr is opened, or for the door full-open state where the both doors are open. The control means is structured to operate the rotating mechanism only when the seat body is disposed in the rotatable range for the door full-open state or the door halfopen state.
