<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need for a plurality of robots or grasping devices for transporting gel. <P>SOLUTION: A stripholder (1) includes a base plate (4), at least one stopper (5) for offsetting a carrier surface (2) to a lower level, and at least one sealing surface (6). The stopper is applied to a counter surface (7) of the chamber. Offsetting lower level by the stopper determines a depth of a holder (1) for guiding gel (3) to the chamber. The sealing surface (6) securely seals the holder (1) being installed. The chamber (15) for isoelectrically focusing molecules of the gel (3) includes the holder (1), a frame (16) and a cover (20). Another chamber of a cassette (33) includes at least one seal (36) for separating two plates (34, 35) and a plate so as to perform electrophoresis in a secondary dimension after isoelectric focusing.
