OPTICAL FIBER FEEDTHROUGH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber feedthrough in which an optical fiber is hardly damaged when the feedthrough is mounted on a package wall surface of an optical communication module. SOLUTION: This optical fiber feedthrough comprises a metal sleeve 1 and an optical fiber 2 fixed to the metal sleeve 1. The metal sleeve 1 comprises: a sleeve main body provided with a first hollow part 9 which has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of an optical fiber exposure part 3 in the optical fiber 2 and through which the optical fiber exposure part is inserted, and a second hollow part 8 which communicates with the first hollow part, has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of a resin coating part 5 of the optical fiber and houses the inserted part of the resin coating part and the optical fiber exposure part exposed from the resin coating part and reaching the first hollow part; and a first conical recessed part 10 provided at the first hollow part side of the sleeve main body and from which a tip part of the optical fiber exposed part is exposed.
