<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater wherein the convenience of installation is improved, and construction time and cost are reduced by making the whole body integral and compact. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater 1 comprises a heat pump unit 10 for collecting atmospheric heat in a heat exchanger and boiling water by means of a natural refrigerant (CO<SB>2</SB>), and a hot water storage tank unit 20 for storing the hot water fed from the heat pump unit 10.
