PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lockup control device for an automatic transmission capable of ensuring engine brake force, and improving fuel economy by expanding a slip lockup range without generating shock. SOLUTION: In a lockup control device for an automatic transmission, a lockup controlling portion is in a slip lockup in drive-coast transition that is transition from a drive state wherein a lockup clutch is released and torque is outputted from an engine side to a coast slip lockup range, and release the lockup clutch in coast-coast transition that is transition from a coast state wherein the lockup clutch is released and torque is inputted from a dirigible road wheel side.
