PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for a corner section, which has a simple structure, by which a cushioning material is installed only at a necessary place and which keeps an appearance fine without being also affected by the expansion and contraction of the cushioning material regarding the protective device for the corner section mounted to a column disposed upright in an entrance for a door and along the corner section in the vertical direction of a door storage case. SOLUTION: A notched section in a fixed size is formed at the corner section of the column or the like in the vertical direction. A mounting frame with an engaging section is secured in the notched section while the vertical size of an engaging leg section in an elastic cover body composed of the engaging leg section engaged with the engaging section and a buffer section closing the notched section is formed in a size shorter than the vertical size of the notched section by a fixed size, and the buffer section is formed in a size larger than the notched section.
