PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof-like air membrane structure having maximumly enhanced durability against high winds and load during installation work by enhancing the tear strength and three-point tensile strength of a ribbon supporting membrane. SOLUTION: The roof-like air membrane structure is obtained by injecting air into an air-injected part formed as double membranes made of resin-covered cloth. Inside the air-injected part, a ribbed supporting membrane made of resin- covered cloth and interconnecting the double membranes is sewn to the membranes. The angle of intersection between a sewing wire and the weft of the cloth forming the ribbed supporting membrane is 30 to 60 degrees. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
