PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device for a moving furniture component capable of avoiding a spring-back motion likely occuring in the furniture component using a small structure. SOLUTION: The brake device 1 is for the moving furniture component such as a door, flap, drawer, etc., embodied in a small structure and avoids the spring-back motion likely occuring in such a furniture component, wherein the operation of the brake device includes at least two braking stages, which work with cylinders 20 and 30 having pistons 22 and 32 movable in the longitudinal direction for exerting braking actions of different strengths.
