PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the substantial strength of a toe box and improve a protective function of a work shoe, in the toe box made of a synthetic resin and the work shoe with the toe box. SOLUTION: In the toe box 1 made of the synthetic resin furnished to a tiptoe of a shoe A, a folding piece 1a is formed by folding an edge part of a sole side of the toe box 1 into an inside of the shoe A, the width of the folding piece 1a is formed in a broad width shape with a tiptoe c1 and both rear edges c3, an interpolation part c2 for interpolating between an edge of the tiptoe c1 and the edges c3 is formed between the tiptoe c1 and the edges c3 with a relative narrow width and a curved line, strength and stiffness are improved at the tiptoe c1 and edges c3 of the folding piece 1a, and concentration of stresses is avoided by joining the tiptoe c1 to edges c3 with a curved line of the interpolation part c2.
