<p>A homogeneous temp-field is maintained on all sides of the apparatus, which has spaced rotatable ring-vanes enclosed by the housing, and fissures for spreading the raw-material onto lower vane, and actuated by a scraper fixed to the housing-wall. Vents conduct the hot-gases along a circulator path over the layers of raw-material up to an outlet point. An annular hot-gas duct is mounted beneath the apparatus, and have at least 4 branch-ducts. The hot gases run along both sides of apparatus via the duct. The apparatus is suitable for treating bulk-materials, particularly crystalline materials, with gases heated to, for example, >500 degrees C. such as in calcining processes.</p> |
