PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to prevent a dielectric breakdown between a pair of horizontal deflection coils, while achieving improved performance of the deflection yoke. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a separator having a small aperture portion positioned at the neck side of the cathode ray tube and a large aperture portion positioned at the funnel side of the cathode ray tube, wherein the separator has an inner surface and an outer surface on which a horizontal deflection coil(114) and a vertical deflection coil are mounted, respectively; and a ferrite core having a small aperture portion positioned at the neck side of the cathode ray tube and a large aperture portion positioned at the funnel side of the cathode ray tube, wherein the ferrite core is mounted on the outer surface of the separator. The separator has a rib(200) arranged on the inner surface of the separator so as to divide the horizontal deflection coil. The rib has a height higher than the height of the rib contact surface of the horizontal deflection coil.
