PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a school bag which can increase more width of space to store notebooks, or the like, without increase in the width of a back plate and can easily store big textbooks and notebooks of A4 size, or the like. SOLUTION: In the school bag, a rear face side of a back side of a gusset 10 is abutted on a side rim 11 of the back plate 8 to join the gusset 10 to the back plate 8, and a back rim 12 of the gusset 10 is attached flush with a front face of the back plate 8.
