PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust cup which hardly sucks dust in a dust collection container and an electric vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The dust cup has an inlet 13 to suck air into a main body 10 of a container and an upper opening 14 at the upper part of the main body 10 and a filter body 16 provided at the upper opening 14, and has the air, which is sucked into the main body 10 from the inlet 13, sucked out of the main body 10 through the filter body 16. The main body 10 has a cyclone container 11 turning the air sucked from the inlet 13 into a whirling air flow and having a shape with a bottom and the dust collection container 12 to contain dust under the cyclone container 11, and is provided with an outlet opened toward the circumferential direction on the cyclone container 11 and exhausting air being a whirling flow in the cyclone container 11 into the dust collection container 12 and a suction opening 26 opened on the side wall of the cyclone container 11 and sucking air, exhausted into the dust collection container 12, into the cyclone container 11.
