PURPOSE: A device for remotely reproducing song data and a reproducing method thereof are provided to enable an audio server to supply a single format of audio data, and to enable a terminal device to reproduce a song when necessary with a minimal configuration, thereby realizing a convenient AOD(Audio On Demand) service. CONSTITUTION: A music supplying server(300) comprises as follows. A hard disk(320) stores song data having various audio formats and list indexes for plural songs. An RA(Real Audio) converter(330) converts the audio formats of the stored song data into designated RA audio formats. A modem interface(310) transmits the format-converted audio data to an audio data reproductive terminal device which requests song data through a communication line. The audio data reproductive terminal device comprises an RA decoder(30), a CPU(10), a modem(40), memories(50), a D/A converter(60), and an LCD portion(80) for displaying received data.
