METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ESTIMATING HARMONIC IN VOICE ENCODER

PURPOSE: A method and device for estimating harmonic in a voice encoder are provided to reduce the quantity of calculations using peak extraction and delta control techniques. CONSTITUTION: A window spectrum is applied to an input signal to obtain an input signal spectrum(S700), and the window spectrum is applied to an integer pitch candidate to acquire a composite signal spectrum(S702). A peak is extracted from each harmonic band(S703), and a critical value of harmonic frequency control in each harmonic band is obtained(S704). Error energy of the input signal spectrum and composite signal spectrum is obtained using the critical value and the peak. A harmonic frequency control value and a peak that minimize the error energy are obtained(S705). A harmonic size is calculated using the harmonic frequency control value and peak(S706).
