A fixed down stop (40) includes a pivot area (18) with an eccentric mechanism for varying the location of the shank pivot relative to the down stop so that shank position and tool pitch can be adjusted. A bushing (36) with an eccentric bore and keyway receives a threaded bolt with a mating key. A captive nut fastens the assembly in position for the desired shank pitch. An Independent claim is also included for an adjustable pivot for agricultural shank assembly.
