PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a stapler convenient to all of users in a very simple constitution. SOLUTION: This stapler S includes a pair of levers 1, 2, wherein a staple striking mechanism for striking out a staple for binding sheets is interposed between the paired levers 1, 2. A first grounding part 8 enabling the tip side to be erected downward in contact with the substantially horizontal surface is provided on the tips of the levers 1, 2.
