PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen shutter for fire-proofing compartment which is equipped with an evacuation door being usable even for a place of a narrow width, in front of an elevator door, or an entrance/exit of a staircase or the like, and can be favorably installed in such places, and at the same time, is equipped with the evacuation door for eliminating the necessity for providing a door function on the drape surface of a screen drape and can stabilize the letting out/taking up motions of the screen drape. SOLUTION: This screen shutter for a fire-proofing compartment is equipped with a fire-proofing compartment-forming means which forms a fire-proofing compartment by placing the screen drape 5 under a developed state, and a door-forming means which can make the drape vertically movable and forms a vertically movable type evacuation door wherein a space under the raised drape becomes an evacuation path. The door-forming means is equipped with a drum 8 which lets out/takes up the screen drape, a weight 10 for descending which urges the screen drape in the letting out direction, and a twisting spring 25 which urges the screen drape in the taking up direction. The door-forming means is also equipped with a vertically moving speed- regulating means 33 having a speed-reducing means 31 which reduces the lowering speed of the screen drape, and a clutch means 32 which separates the screen drape and the speed-reducing means when the screen drape is raised.
