PURPOSE: An authentication system having mobility in a public wireless LAN communication network is provided to manage authentication information in an APM(Access Point Manager) even though a mobile terminal moves between access points including in different subnets, thereby enabling consecutive connections with the network. CONSTITUTION: Access points(120,140) include information on mobile terminals in an authentication request message to output the message, or include the information in an accounting request message to output the message, request authenticating and accounting processes, and control to transceive data for an authenticated mobile terminal by receiving an authentication response message. An APM(160) receives the authentication request message, transmits the authentication request message to an authentication server(310) of a mobile network provider(300), transmits the received authentication response message to the access points(120,140), and transmits the authentication response message to the access points(120,140) if the access points(120,140) are pre-authenticated.
