<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can increase the image processing speed with respect to overall image data in executing image processing for blocked image data, and reduce the capacity of a memory required for image processing, and to provide a method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A clipping unit 211 determines on a block basis whether input image data fall within a clipping range. If it is determined that the input image data are valid data and fall within the clipping range, a valid signal is outputted. A resizing processor 212 applies resizing processing to a block corresponding to the valid signal on a block basis. Then a permutation processor 213 permutates image data to apply simultaneous processing (point sequencing), and rotation and raster processing to a YCrvCb signal in a block buffer, produces a head address of a block corresponding to the direction of rotation and stores it to an SDRAM 214. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
