PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional folding type portable telephone has functions of detecting opening and closing and lighting up and lighting out an illumination, but does not have an additional value or the like corresponding to use frequency of an end user, can obtain information of a using period from a starting day of use to a day of a fault but cannot obtain information on the use frequency for each portable telephone. SOLUTION: A magnet 4 is remotely separated from a Hall IC6 at an opening operation time, and an open state is recognized. A closing operation is conducted, the magnet 4 approaches to the IC6, and the closed state of a folding type portable telephone radio unit 1 is recognized. The number of times of this opening/closing operations is counted by a counter circuit 7. When the counted number of times reaches a set times, a display unit 3 displays a concealing screen.
