<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of enhancing thermal efficiency by shortening a starting time accompanied with defrosting water. <P>SOLUTION: In this fuel cell system provided with a fuel cell 1 having a solid high polymer film, a water feeding means 10 to feed water for humidifying the solid high polymer film, the water feeding means 10 is provided with a first water storing means 11 having an electric heater 2 and a second water storing means 19, and when starting the fuel cell system from a condition wherein the water in the water feeding means is frozen, the water in the first water storing means 11 is defrosted earlier than the water in the second water storing means 19, and right after operation of the fuel cell 1 is started, the solid high polymer film is humidified by the water stored in the first water storing means 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
