INTAKE AND EXHAUST VALVE OF DIESEL ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost by sharing a configuration for an intake and an exhaust valves of a diesel engine and to improve combustion efficiency by simplifying a shape around the intake and exhaust valves or by eliminating resistance to flow of a combustion gas. SOLUTION: A swirl chamber type diesel engine is provided with the exhaust valve 1 and two intake valves 2 and 3 to be projected from a side of a cylinder head to a main combustion chamber over a piston. Each of the exhaust valve 1 and the intake valves 2 and 3 are formed in the same valve diameter and in the same shape and the three of them are used as common components. A contact face of a valve seat is flattened to improve sealing performance and workability, and a head part face of the valve is formed into a curved face to improve the flow of the combustion gas.
