PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost new silver halide photographic sensitive material capable of providing a color print from a photosensitive material for photographing even when image information is photoelectrically read in the undesilvered state using an inexpensive specular scanner by enhancing the suitability of a silver halide photographic sensitive material to a specular scanner. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on a support, when the total coating weight (g/m<SP>2</SP>) of silver in silver halide emulsions comprised in the silver halide emulsion layer is represented by A and specular transmission density in the undesilvered state after development as a value represented by the equation B=-logTs (where Ts is specular transmittance at 550 nm measured by integration at an angle of 3°(half angle)) is represented by B, the value of B/A is <0.57.
