摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic pigment sensitizing solar battery having an organic pigment sensitizing metal oxide semiconductor electrode capable of efficiently utilizing the light energy. <P>SOLUTION: The organic pigment sensitizing solar battery comprises an organic pigment sensitizing metal oxide semiconductor electrode consisting of a transparent substrate having a transparent electrode on the surface, a metal oxide semiconductor film formed on the transparent electrode and an organic pigment adsorbed on the surface of the semiconductor film, and a counter electrode opposed to the electrode, wherein a redox electrolyte is filled between both electrodes. A photocatalyst layer containing a metal compound having a photocatalytic function is provided on the surface of the transparent substrate where no transparent electrode exists, via a substrate protecting undercoat layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
