PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite textured yarn which has a soft and bulky touch, an excellent snag-proof property and an excellent water-absorbing and quick drying property, and to provide a knitted fabric using the same. SOLUTION: This composite textured yarn comprising high shrinkable component fibers and low shrinkable component fibers is characterized in that the boiling water shrinkage difference between the high shrinkage component fibers and the low shrinkable component fibers is ≥5%, that the high shrinkage component fibers are polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers, and that the low shrinkable component fibers each has a flat cross section having a modification degree of 1.5 to 5.0.
