PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of an organic EL element small in drive voltage and capable of emitting light by a simple drive circuit. SOLUTION: For the production process of an organic EL element by laminating a positive electrode, an organic EL layer and a negative electrode formed of at least two negative electrode layers in this order on one side of an element substrate, a laminating speed of the first negative electrode layer laminated is controlled to a rate exceeding 0.01 nm/sec.
