摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing ferritic stainless bar steel or wire rod for cold forged parts of various industrial equipment, automobiles, OA (office automation) equipment, house appliances or the like, and to provide bar steel or wire rod. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing the ferritic stainless bar steel or wire rod having excellent cold forgeability includes a process wherein the final temperature in rolling is controlled to≤850°C, and its hardness is controlled to <75 HRB by the subsequent annealing. Further, the total working ratio in the rolling at≤850°C is controlled to≥30%. The annealing temperature is controlled to≥720°C as well. The componential composition of the steel at this time consists of, by mass,≤0.05% C,≤1.00% Si,≤1.00% Mn and 10.0 to 30.0% Cr, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
