The insulator (1) may be used in online monitoring systems and has a central socket (6) at one end with a conductor wire (3) leading to the embedded capacitor (2). A wire at the other end of the capacitor leads to a socket for a measuring instrument (4) in the foot of the insulator (9). A further wire (3a) leads, via an overload protection (7) from the measuring socket to a terminal (8) in a blind bore (5a) for a fastening in the foot of the insulator. There are fastening blind bores (5b,c) in the top of the insulator.
