PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to cut off power of a dust collector mounted on a front grill when a suction panel hingedly connected with the front grill is separated from the front grill. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a front panel(56) having a suction hole(53b) formed on a front side thereof; a dust collector(58) mounted on the front panel to remove foreign matters contained in air introduced through an inlet(53a) and the suction hole; a suction panel(62) detachably and hingedly joined to a front lower part of the front panel; protrusions(62a) protrusively formed on a lower end of the suction panel, and inserted to grooves(56c) formed on the front panel; an on/off switch pushed and switched on by the protrusions if the protrusions are inserted to the grooves; a suction panel opening and closing motor(64) installed on the front panel; and a first link(66) and a second link interlocked with the motor to rotate the suction panel centering on a hinge, and supporting the suction panel to be separated from a front center of the front panel and fixed in front of a front lower part of the front panel. |
