A plant for converting light soda (Ia) into heavy soda (Ib) in monohydrate process with hopper for (Ia) and recycled (Ib), has feed screw leading to crystallizer where process water is added, and inline separator for separating crystallized (Ib) and recycling unsuitable (Ib) to hopper. The hopper has shaft for recycled (Ib) preceding shaft for (Ia), in screw feed direction. A plant for converting light soda (Ia) into heavy soda (Ib) in a monohydrate process with hopper (1) for light soda (90) and recycled heavy soda (95), has feed screw (2) leading to crystallizer (3), where process water (360) is added, and inline separator for separating crystallized heavy soda by particle size and recycling heavy soda unsuitable for direct use/further processing to hopper (1). The hopper has shaft (15) for recycled heavy soda preceding shaft (10) for light soda, in screw feed direction (24).
