A novel power supply (100) provides power to various loads such as an electrolytic bath (200) for performing microarc oxidation, an arc welder (300) any other power-consuming (400), device or tool. The power supply (100) contains output circuitry having at least one adjustable element (106). The output circuitry forms, together with the load, a closed resonant circuit (108) providing a complete path for operating current of the load during the operation carried out by the load. The adjustable element (132) is used to tune the closed circuit to resonance (108) during the operation carried out by the load.
