PURPOSE: A tag axle apparatus for a vehicle is provided to absorb vibration and impact transmitted to a tag axle from the ground and to lift the tag axle with comparatively small strength. CONSTITUTION: A tag axle apparatus for a vehicle comprises right and left tag axles(54,53) mounted with right and left auxiliary wheels(52,51) selectively touching on the ground according to the carrying capacity of freight; right and left trailing arms(58,56) each one end of which is connected to the right and left tag axle in the cross direction; a roll bar(60) connected to the other ends of the right and left trailing arms and rotatably mounted to the body of the vehicle, to suppress roll of the vehicle; torsion bars(62,61); and a tag axle-ascending and descending unit rotating the roll bars and making the tag axles lifted up from the ground while the trailing arms rotate around the roll bars. One-ends of the torsion bars engage with the trailing arms and the other ends of the torsion bars are fixed to the body of the vehicle to absorb vibration and impact of the right and left auxiliary wheels.
