The vacuum mattress (5) used in an emergency can be stored in the unstable condition after use by lifting it towards the ceiling into a vertical position with a device assembled of a rope with a carbine hook at one end and a ring at the opposite end. The rope, provided with two stops, is guided across two pulleys fixed to the ceiling and secured to a hook at the bottom with the ring. If the mattress (5) can be stored at the bottom, the rope and pulley unit can be used for holding other accessories.
