<p>For simplifying the connection of a transverse spar to the frame parts of a window frame, the invention provides a method for connecting a transverse spar to the frame parts of a window frame, door frame or the like, in which the transverse spar is provided with roof-shaped end faces, whose points are not aligned with the sides of the transverse spar, in which the two frame parts to be connected together and to the transverse spar are initially provided on their end faces to be connected over part of their thickness with the roof-shaped end face of the transverse spar with complimentary bevels and the end faces of all three parts of a welding point are jointly heated and for welding the parts are displaced in relative manner towards one another. A device for connecting a transverse spar to the frame parts is characterized by Y-shaped welding mirrors and moving mechanisms for moving the two frame parts of a welding point towards one another, as well as the frame parts and the transverse spar relative to one another. <Figures 1a & 1b></p> |
