Method for manufacturing a brake disc

The brake disc has a friction ring (2) and a disc hub (3), which are connected to each other by electromagnetic forming. For the forming process, a mainly cylindrical coil to generate an electromagnetic field is placed in the plate hub interior. The outer diameter of the coil is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the hub. The friction ring has a recess (10) in its radial inner section facing the hub. During forming, the hub section (15) next to the recess is formed in direction towards it, to form a positive connection.
