The sieving device has an adjustable sieve to achieve variable fractionation. The sieve consists of at least two elements (1,2) installed one on top of the other and have sieving perforations (3). To change the degree of sieving the elements are movable in relation to each other. The sieving perforations of the various elements may have different or identical geometry and/or size. The sieving elements are pressed together by clamping devices (5). The sieving elements may be cylindrical in their construction and formed as a sieving drum.
