PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a bamboo bar like a bamboo sword which is kept from endangering lives concerning a bamboo bar used for the practicing or the contests of cudgel play. SOLUTION: In the bamboo bar for cudgel play comprising a combination of plate-like materials made up of split bamboo pieces in a polygonal cross section, a skin is put over an intermediate part and both end parts of the bar and a wire material such as a gut is wound thereon and fixed tightly. The wire material wound on the intermediate part is guided out from both the end sides passing through the bamboo bar and wound and fixed on the skin at both the ends. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
