The apparatus is for the introduction of oxygen-rich air into the lungs of a patient and comprises a tube construction placed on the mouth of a patient and on to that of person administering aid. When used, the apparatus has a saddle formation (5) which cuts off a nose-mouth part from outside air, so that the full volume of introduced air is used. Swelling of the cheeks of the patient is prevented by the saddle and air is blown into the lungs in a straight line. On introduction of the feed tube (2) with a tongue spoon (9) into the mouth of a patient the tongue part is depressed so that more space is available for as great as possible air through passage. The blown-in air is cleaned by a filter (6) of bacteria, viruses and sputum, so that contamination is excluded to a great extent. As a second possibility oxygen or outer air can be fed into the lungs of the patient by means of a built-in nipple (13). |
