PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing glassware for preventing breaking easily, and a method for preventing scattering even on breakage. SOLUTION: The method for improving impact resistance of glass or a mirror and the method for preventing scattering on breakage comprise a step of coating a single face or both faces of the glass or the mirror with a thermoplastic resin, a step of coating the surface coated with the above thermoplastic resin with a composition having radical polymerization reactivity including a urethane acrylate resin and a step of irradiating the surface with active energy rays.
