PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensing and leveling member in a transplanter, capable of effectively leveling a front area of a sensor float so as to maintain accuracy of planting depth. SOLUTION: This sensing and leveling member 18 in the transplanter is positioned in the front area of the sensor float 7C used as an ascending and descending-control mechanism, wherein the sensor float 7C controls height of a transplanting working machine 4 which is connected to a traveling machine body 3 so as to be freely ascended and descended, and the sensing and leveling member 18 for smoothing and leveling the surface of a farm field is positioned so as to cover a region which includes the front area of the sensor float 7C and in which raised soil between both wheels 1, 2 is dropped, so that the accuracy of the planting depth is maintained.
